What Happened In Year 11 ?
The day I started year 11 so many things were going through my head. I was very happy to start year 11 because that was going to be my last year of secondary school. At the same time I was a bit nervous because of exams. I knew they were going to be very hard and stressful. Teachers kept saying “time is going to fly away”, but of course I didn’t believe them. We had like 9 months before exams. The next thing I realised I had only 4 weeks left before GCSE’s. GCSE’s did not even feel like GCSE’s. I believed I did well in my exams. That ended up not being true. I failed most of my subjects. The only subjects that saved me were Italian and Spanish, I was 4 marks away from getting a 9 in spanish. I believe I didn’t do well in my exams because I didn’t take year 10 serious. That was the biggest mistake. Year 10 is where you start focusing on your options and where you start learning all the content that you need for your exams. Even though year 10 was my best year in school I wish I focused more on the lessons than my friends. I decided to start focusing more in year 11 but there wasn’t enough time to actually learn all the content .
